St. Genevieve Hires Gabriel Bencomo To Guide The Valiant Baseball Program
Gabriel Bencomo is entering his tenth year at St. Genevieve High School. He served as a history teacher prior to making the change to become the Director of Academic Counseling for the high school. He has coached in high school athletics for 14 years in various sports including football, baseball, and softball. He becomes the new head baseball coach with an understanding of high school athletics and what it takes to build a successful program.
Coach Bencomo is determined to build a program based on character and integrity. He wants to develop his players into well-rounded young men, both on and off the baseball diamond. He believes that building a culture of respect will lead to success on the baseball diamond. “The goal is to continue to build a program that pushes our student-athletes to their highest potential.”
Athletic Director, Marlon Archey credits Bencomo’s experience as the school’s college counselor and Defensive Coordinator for the football program as a plus. “Gabe brings a wealth of high school coaching experience in both football and baseball. Our players will definitely reach their fullest potential under his leadership on and off the field.”
Welcome Coach Bencomo!
