Fitness Is For Life
When you are in pain, it doesn’t matter how much money you earn, how large your home or what kind of car you drive. When our mental or physical health is hurting, what we want – more than any luxury – is to feel well again.
At St. Genevieve, our goal is for every student to include physical and mental fitness in their definition of success.
Our physical fitness program challenges our students and teachers. Twice a week, the whole school spreads out for exercise; everyone participates in activities ranging from kickball, running, off-campus walking, hacky sack, break dancing, volleyball, salsa dancing or yoga. Our community moves together! By developing a habit of exercise and fitness early in their lives, students are more likely, as they grow older, to embrace wellness as part of their everyday habit.
“We want for every Valiant to know instinctively that exercise and fitness is a necessary and vital component to their lives.”
— Dan Horn
