We are so proud to call Joan Payden our friend. While many schools have great supporters, Joan is someone who not only supports our school on an annual basis, she is truly a friend. She shows genuine interest in our students’ accomplishment. Joan has hosted dozens of our students at her offices, providing personal tours while always encouraging them to discover their passion and stay committed.
Joan’s Profession
Joan A. Payden is CFA, president and CEO of global investment management firm Payden & Rygel. In 1983, she left the partnership of a large investment firm to found Payden & Rygel, and is known as a trailblazer in the field of investment management. Since her firm’s creation 21 years ago, she has overseen its international expansion and its growth to more than $128 billion in assets. Payden & Rygel was named “U.S. Bond Manager of the Year” based on its investment excellence in 2003 by Global Investor Magazine.
