Important Homecoming Week Changes
We just received notice that Verbum Dei, our scheduled opponent for our homecoming game, has canceled the remainder of their season.
Fortunately, we were able to change our parade permit to Friday, October 25th. Our new homecoming opponent will be St. Monica, defending CIF champions. It will be a tough game, but we look forward to a tremendous crowd to cheer our Valiant team to a victory.
- Homecoming Mass with Bishop Swovik will still take place on Sunday, October 6th. New Mass time at 4:00 p.m. Other information regarding the day will be sent soon.
- All other homecoming activities will take place the week prior to October 25th.
- October 15: classes will be in session
- October 28: No School
- Dancing With the Valiant Stars is now moved to Thursday, October 24th. (with more time to prepare, we expect dancing to be better than ever!)
Please keep the team and Verbum Dei Community in mind and prayer. Imagine how hard it is for players who prepared all spring and summer but won’t have an opportunity to finish their season… especially the seniors.
